FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method involves imparting a rotary motion to the workpiece at a rotation frequency of n/60 Hz shifted from the natural frequency fc Hz machine technological system. Wave surface roughness is pre-measured in its cross-section, frequency of forced oscillations is selected as a relatively prime number with natural oscillation frequency, and the workpiece rotation speed is determined by the given formula depending on the nominal diameter of the workpiece and the wave pitch on its surface.
EFFECT: preventing both complete and incomplete resonance in the system "machine-billet", which reduces vibration during machining, increases durability of the tool and improves the quality of the surface of the article.
