SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to spacecraft temperature control system. Method of diagnosing serviceability of a spacecraft thermal control system involves periodic monitoring of system operation under operating conditions. Periodic telemetric measurements are performed in process of temperature of the volume compensator and temperature of other sections of liquid circuit. At each inspection, the total duration of the continuous increase in the temperature of the volume compensator is determined from the moment when the electric heater is switched on in the working permissible temperature range. Said total duration is compared with similar duration obtained in ground tests. Tightness of the liquid circuit of a thermal control system is judged on the basis of their mutual conformity with a given norm of difference.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of spacecraft.
