FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves ground performance and pilot skill tests of hydraulic accumulator (HA) comprising thermal control system (TCS) of space vehicle. TCS includes liquid path with heat carrier and electric driven pump at the inlet of which pressure sensor and volume equaliser are installed. Gas cavity of equaliser is connected to gas capacity, and liquid cavity separated with a sylphon from gas cavity is interconnected with liquid path. After ground tests are completed and results are positive, HA is manufactured again and installed aboard the space vehicle with stationary location relative to the vehicle axes. HA liquid cavity is interconnected with liquid cavity of the airborne volume equaliser. From time to time, during the operating life of the unit in orbit, HA electric heater is brought into operation and heat carrier pressure is maintained within the specified range (from value which is above maximum possible during operation of volume equaliser to minimum allowable at the inlet of electric driven pump). As per the fact providing the specified range during the required operating life there estimated is HA serviceability in conditions of its being operated in the outer space. When gas capacity is decompressed, HA is used as volume equaliser of TCS of space vehicle.
EFFECT: improving operating reliability of stationary HA in orbit at optimum electric power consumption.
