FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of preparing a catalytic sorption material for removing chlorine, involving synthesis of an inert support, impregnating it with solutions of nickel nitrate and magnesium acetate, wherein the carrier component which increases structural characteristics, such as pore volume and specific surface area, is a mesoporous compound of one of the following types: SBA-15, MCF, Al-TUD, in amount of 25–35 wt. %, which is added to boehmite powder, peptized with diluted nitric acid solution, dried and calcined at 550 °C. Invention also relates to a method of removing organo-chlorine compounds from a light diesel fraction, characterized in that said catalytic sorption material is loaded into a steel tubular reactor, the feed is fed at temperature of 340–380 °C and hydrogen pressure of 4.0–6.0 MPa with volume rate of 1.0–4.0 h-1, and hydrogen-containing gas with volume ratio of hydrogen to raw material of 600:1.
EFFECT: technical result is preparation of catalytically-sorption material for removal of chlorine compounds from middle distillates of oil with high specific surface, pore volume and mechanical strength, leading to efficient removal of organic compounds of chlorine from medium oil distillates by conversion thereof to hydrogen chloride and hydrocarbons and sorption of hydrogen chloride on the surface of the mesoporous material containing magnesium oxide and nickel oxide.
