SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of preparing hydrotreating catalysts for oxidative regeneration by treating a passivated sulphide catalyst containing NiO, V2O5, Fe3O4, mixture of butyl-cellosolve and nefras, in which a complexing agent selected from oxalic, tartaric or citric acid is dissolved. Invention also relates to a method of regenerating a complexing agent solution obtained after carrying out a method of treating a passivated sulphide catalyst.
