FIELD: image forming devices.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a process cartridge, an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, and an electrophotographic photosensitive drum unit. Claimed process cartridge comprises: i) an electrophotographic photosensitive drum rotating about an axis and having a light-sensitive layer on its peripheral surface, ii) processing means actuated on said electrophotographic photosensitive drum, iii) a connecting member engaged with said rotary force portion to receive a rotary force for rotating said electrophotographic photosensitive drum, wherein said connecting element is configured to occupy the rotational force transmission angular position for transmitting the rotating force for rotation of said electrophotographic photosensitive drum to said electrophotographic photosensitive drum, and an angular position before engagement, in which said connecting member is inclined from the axis of said electrophotographic photosensitive drum from said angular position of transmitting a rotating force, and iv) adjusting part (170) for adjusting the angle of inclination of said connecting element such that angle of inclination downward of said connecting element is less than angle of inclination of said connecting element, when said connecting element is in angular position before engagement, wherein when said process cartridge is installed in the main assembly of the device by moving said process cartridge in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of said electrophotographic photosensitive drum, said connecting member moves from the angular position before engagement to the rotational force transmission angular position for engagement with the drive shaft, said control portion surrounds said connecting member when viewed in direction along electrophotographic photosensitive drum axis, and said control part includes recessed portion (170b) which is recessed away from the axis of the electrophotographic photosensitive drum in the installation direction to adjust the inclination angle of the connecting member in the angular position before engagement.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the operability of the maintenance of the image forming apparatus by enabling the user to efficiently perform the maintenance operation of the device, as well as providing electrophotographic photosensitive drum rotation accuracy.
