SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tools for sealing ballast prism and relates blades of tamping machines. Hard alloy element is fixed on lower part of tamper of blade and envelopes its lower edge, front and rear surfaces. Outer and / or inner contour of cross-section of hard-alloy element is multifaceted. One of the faces is located perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the ram. Hard alloy elements can be additionally fixed on upper and / or lateral parts of blade.
EFFECT: higher service life of tamper blade.
