FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of road works, in particular to the ballast tamping under the sleepers. Tamper blade lower edge is reinforced with carbide elements. In the blade middle part the through hole and/or recess is made. Blade middle part lower border is located above the carbide elements. Lateral borders are located from the blade side edges at least 0.05 times of the blade width, and the upper border is not less than 0.05 times the blade upper edge. In the through holes a mesh can be installed.
EFFECT: enabling increase in the ballast amount moved by the tamper blade under the sleeper lower bed.
