FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a device for determining deaeration properties of oils, which includes a transparent thermostat with a measuring glass cylinder with volume of 250 ml, filled with oil and equipped with a fixing device, inside the measuring glass cylinder there is a sensor-aerator, consisting of a dielectric measuring cell formed by two coaxial metal hollow cylinders, separated by dielectric spacers and stops, connected to the container precision meter directly behind the air supply tube and the contact electrode, the spherical metal-ceramic gas diffuser, which diameter is about 25.4 mm, pore size of 5 mcm, placed in lower part of said tube, also used to supply air, antifoaming agent arranged in upper part of tube. Also disclosed is a method of determining degassing properties of oils using said device, comprising changing the capacity of air-oil emulsion, determining time constant Ttime obtained transient process, from which the common characteristic of deaeration properties of the tested oils is evaluated.
EFFECT: high reliability of test results, shorter test time and automation of the measurement process aimed at evaluating the effect of deaeration properties of oils on the operational reliability of units.
