FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surface phenomena and is intended for determination of surface tension coefficient of liquid. Device for formation of spherical surface of liquid for determining surface tension coefficient consists of vessel for analyzed liquid, tightly closed by plug, into which capillary is vertically inserted, lower edge of vertically fixed capillary is immersed into the analyzed liquid, and upper edge of capillary is located in horizontal plane, excessive pressure created by micropump and measured by micromanometer through additional side branch in vessel, raises analyzed liquid along vertical capillary until formation of drop with spherical surface, drop height with a spherical surface on the upper horizontal section of the capillary is measured using a video monitoring tool.

EFFECT: reduced labor intensiveness of measuring coordinates of drop surface points and simple replacement of test specimen.
