METHOD FOR COMBINED GENERATION OF MECHANICAL, THERMAL ENERGY AND PRODUCTION OF SOLID CARBON DIOXIDE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC F01K13/00 F17D1/02 F17C9/02 F25B29/00

Abstract RU 2691869 C2

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to stationary and transport power engineering, namely to piston, gas and steam-turbine plants operating on cryogenic hydrocarbon fuels, and can be used in production of carbon dioxide in stationary and transport power plants with internal combustion engines, gas or steam turbines. Purpose of the invention is to increase the efficiency of combined generation of mechanical, heat energy and obtain solid carbon dioxide by improving the technology of cooling combustion products with cryogenic hydrocarbon fuel during operation of a heat power plant with a significant excess air factor. Technical result is achieved as follows: method of combined generation of mechanical, heat energy and production of solid carbon dioxide, consisting in extraction of liquefied hydrocarbon fuel from isothermal tank, subsequent regasification of fuel due to heat of waste gases of same heat power plant, for which exhaust gases are removed from outlet system(s) of plant, is sent to evaporator-regasificator, in which temperature of exhaust gases is reduced to obtain solid carbon dioxide due to cold potential of cryogenic hydrocarbon fuel, directed for regasification to same heat exchanger/heat exchangers, formed solid carbon dioxide is supplied to heat-insulated accumulation tank, and uncondensed exhaust gases are discharged into atmosphere. All flow of exhaust gases from heat engine/engines is preliminary directed to produce heat into a waste heat boiler and/or contact heat exchanger, then exhaust gases are divided into two parts, one of which is discharged into atmosphere, and the second one is supplied to device, in which condensed combustion products are extracted from it, then directed into device, in which separation of gaseous carbon dioxide from gases not involved in combustion process, then, separated gaseous carbon dioxide is fed into evaporator-regasificator, in which liquefied natural gas evaporation takes place and transition of gaseous carbon dioxide to solid phase, which is directed to heat-insulated accumulation cistern. As the device, in which the condensed part of the exhaust gases is extracted, the cyclone unit is used. As the device, in which there is separation of gaseous carbon dioxide from gases not involved in combustion process, gas centrifuge is used. In heat power plants operated in conditions of low temperatures of atmospheric air, second part of exhaust gases after waste heat boiler and/or contact heat exchanger and cyclone unit is directed to air cooling device. Second portion of exhaust gases after waste heat boiler and/or contact heat exchanger and cyclone apparatus before evaporator-regasificator is fed into vortex tube(s), after which peripheral part of flow is discharged into atmosphere, and central cooled flow is supplied to evaporation-regasificator, where solid carbon dioxide is obtained, which is supplied to heat-insulated accumulation cistern.

EFFECT: upgraded efficiency of stationary and transport power engineering, namely piston, gas turbine engines, steam-turbine plants, by using cold of cryogenic hydrocarbon fuel during their regasification for combined generation of mechanical, heat energy and obtaining solid carbon dioxide, which excludes atmospheric pollution by greenhouse gases and, as a result, leads to improved environmental situation of the Earth.
