STABILIZER FOR METHODS OF PRODUCING POLYMER POLYOL Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC C08L71/08 C08G18/48 C08G18/63 C08F290/06 C08L35/06

Abstract RU 2692255 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a dispersion of copolymers of styrene and acrylonitrile in a phase of a polymer polyol by emulsification in a melt, in which a stabilizer (S) containing 10–70 wt % is used, preferably 30–60% by weight, more preferably 40–55 % by weight, based on the sum of all components of at least one polyol P2, and at least one polyol CSP, which contains a reaction product of at least one macromer M, styrene and acrylonitrile in P2, in the presence of an initiator selected from a group consisting of azo initiators and peroxide initiators and a chain transfer agent which is dodecane thiol, wherein content of macromer M of stabilizer (S) is between 35 and 54 wt. %, in terms of sum of all components, and wherein polyethylene CSP is preferably a comb-structure polyol, wherein total content of styrene of stabilizer (S) is between 4 and 15 wt. % and/or total content of acrylonitrile of stabilizer (S) is between 2 and 7 wt. %, and wherein macro-M is obtained by reacting 1,1-dimethylmetheisopropenylbenzyl isocyanate (TMI) with six-functional polyether polyol RM, obtained by reacting propylene oxide, ethylene oxide and sorbitol, optionally in the presence of a Lewis acid-based catalyst. Described also is a dispersion of a polymer polyol obtained using said method for producing polyurethanes. Also described is use of said stabilizer (S), for stabilizing dispersions of polymer polyol, obtained by emulsification in a melt.

EFFECT: technical result is stabilization of dispersion of copolymers of styrene and acrylonitrile in phase of polymer polyol, with formation of dispersion, having small sizes of particles, with improved long-term stability.
