MINI FIRE EXTINGUISHER OF PULSE SPRAYING Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A62C13/00

Abstract RU 2692272 C1

FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire safety and can be used in production of fire extinguishing means intended for extinguishing fires in initial stage of fires of classes A, B, C, D, F: solid and liquid substances, electric installations under voltage of up to 1,000 V, cars, offices, computers, televisions, other special and household electronic equipment in rooms and on open areas. Mini-fire extinguisher of pulse spraying, containing housing with fire-extinguishing powder, an expelling charge consisting of sequentially located one after another of ignition and gas-generating compositions. At that, the breech end of the borehole is tightly closed by a variable-diameter cylinder with a central hole of variable diameter, in which there are: a pyrotechnical thermoelectric igniter string containing a gum ring on the pin passing through the ignition layer, then a combustion chamber with a gas-generating quick-burning charge, a cardboard wad and an elastic wad filling the hemispherical cavity, expanding to the diameter of the circular ledge for the membrane from the elastic film, behind which there is a fire-extinguishing or inert powder, barrel is hermetically sealed on the muzzle side with a moisture-resistant cardboard wad, from which to the muzzle section of the barrel there is an accelerating section, at actuation there is no additional resistance to powder release and form a fire-extinguishing mini-vortex with a bearing gas phase and a rapidly expanding dense front at the barrel end.

EFFECT: proposed design implementation will allow to achieve the following technical results: simplification of design and cost reduction of its mass production; increased range, volume and area of fire extinguishing; reduced value of spraying charge, recoil force to comfortable level due to application of damping coating on surface of mini fire extinguisher.
