SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a class of fire extinguishers which can be used to extinguish fires of classes A, B, C, D, F, self-protection against flame, deposition of toxic, thick smoke to create an evacuation path. Mini fire extinguisher differs from prototype by absence of piston, by means of which high-pressure gas is pushed out the fire extinguishing powder, possibility of spraying liquid and gel-like fire extinguishing and smoke-depositing compositions, more efficient use of energy of spray charge, extended range of spraying for creation of evacuation path and fire-extinguishing efficiency, for example, by extinguishing of one square meter of burning area of tree after 6 minutes of free burning. To increase fire-extinguishing efficiency and to enable efficient deposition of dense and toxic smoke, a fine liquid spraying path in the form of a mini-flurry with a compressed front is realized, which is achieved by increasing the degree of propulsive action of the powder gas gases by a combination of providing more complete combustion of the powder charge, partial reduction of the speed of the front of the wave of powder gases and stretching the front in depth with wads of dense materials and elastic membranes, as well as by experimental determination of optimum range of weight ratio of blow-off, powder charge to mass of fire-extinguishing liquid or gel.
