CYLINDRICAL COLLAPSIBLE CONTAINER Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61M3/02

Abstract RU 2692322 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to container (1) for medical use in irrigating system, irrigating system and method of container reversible folding. Container forms closed chamber (17) for fluid content. Container comprises lateral wall element (2) made of sheet material and forming side wall of said closed chamber (17). Side wall element (2) comprises opposed first open end (10) and second open end (11). Container includes rigid lower section (3) located on first open end (10) of said side wall element (2) so that said lower portion (3) provides sealing of first open end (10) of side wall element (2) to form bottom of closed chamber (17). Container has rigid upper section (4) located on second open end (11) of side wall element (2) so that said upper portion provides sealing of second open end (11) of said side wall element (2) with formation of upper part of container (1) and comprising at least a first through hole. Container comprises flexible tube (5) located inside chamber (17) and containing first end section (19) and second end section (21). First end section (19) of tube (5) is connected to lower section (3) and comprises an opening extending into chamber (17), and the second end section (21) is connected to upper section (4) and is in fluid communication with first hole (12) of rigid upper section (4). Side wall element (2) is made flexible so that possibility of reverse folding and unfolding of container (1) is provided, thus providing possibility of putting into folded state, in which rigid upper and lower (3) sections are located relatively closer to each other, and in unfolded state, in which rigid upper and lower (3) sections are located relatively further from each other, respectively. Irrigation system comprises container, pump for direct or indirect pumping irrigation fluid from container to probe, a control unit for controlling the pump and thereby moving said irrigating liquid; and a tubular member providing fluid communication between said container, control unit and probe. Method for reversible folding of container (1) comprises a step of moving rigid lower portion (3) and rigid upper portion (4) of container (1) towards each other, thus, folding side wall element (2) formed from flexible material located between rigid lower section (3) and rigid upper section (4). Then rigid lower section (3) and rigid upper section (4) are fixed to each other in folded state.

EFFECT: saving space during storage without deterioration of container stability, while ensuring possibility of vertical configuration of container during its use.
