FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to metallurgy, namely to technologies of lining of metallurgical and other thermal units by shotcrete method and its hardware design. Method of lining metallurgical units involves depositing on their inner surfaces using a nozzle of a compressed air-saturated stream of a prepared composition based on a water-wetted refractory mixture, which is prepared by wetting the dry refractory mixture with water in a turbulent compressed air flow. Further, the stream of the composition is diluted and saturated with a curing agent in an additional stream of compressed air. Prior to application of prepared composition on internal surfaces of units its flow is compacted. Device for lining of metallurgical units includes nozzle with housing. Adapter of inlet for supply of dry refractory mixture and water supply branch pipe are arranged in the flow of compressed air to the inlet end of the case. Nozzle body comprises vacuum chamber equipped with nozzle for feeding mixture of hardener with compressed air. Outlet end of nozzle is convergent.

EFFECT: improved quality of preparation, uniformity and stability of composition of lining mixture, density, porosity and strength of which approximated by properties to filling refractory concrete, simplified design of lining device and reduced its dimensions, as well as reduced time for installation of lining.
