FIELD: data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of controlling intersymbolic distortion of digital signals. Method includes input of main signal, generation of test signals, alternate connection of main and test signals, reception of main signal, demodulation, reception of test signals, separation of intersymbol interference coefficients and Viterbi equalizing. Method comprises introducing a bipolar sequence, generating bipolar values, transmitting intersymbol interference coefficients and receiving intersymbol interference coefficients, wherein at the receiving side, receiving test signals successively, extracting the intersymbol interference coefficients and transmitting intersymbol interference coefficients, also receiving the main signal and demodulation at the receiving side, wherein Viterbi equalizing is carried out at the transmitting side, besides, on the transmitting side after the main signal input, the bipolar sequence is generated, from which the Viterbi equalizing transition metrics are determined, transmitting symbols are also received at the transmitting side, from which the Viterbi algorithm transition metrics values are calculated, wherein formation of bipolar values is introduced into Viterbi algorithm equalizing between determination of transition values and determination of transition metrics, and result of determination of logic sequence along remaining path is used for alternate connection of main and test signals.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increase in overall noise immunity of transmitting signals on multi-beam channels.
