FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of removing phosphorus compounds from liquid hydrocarbons. Method comprises steps of: (a) reacting a liquid hydrocarbon with an aqueous solution containing an oxidant selected from tert-butyl hydroperoxide to form a reaction mixture containing an aqueous component and a hydrocarbon component, where the liquid hydrocarbon contains at least alkene C4-30 and trialkylphosphine C≤30; (b) reacting an oxidant selected from tert-butyl hydroperoxide with trialkylphosphine C≤30 with formation of corresponding phosphine oxide C≤30; (c) removing the aqueous component from the hydrocarbon component while removing the trialkylphosphine oxide C≤30 from liquid hydrocarbon.
EFFECT: disclosed invention makes it possible to efficiently remove phosphorus compounds from hydrocarbon liquids.
