FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to locking mechanisms of artillery weapons. Wedge gate comprises wedge in breech groove, cranks with rollers on axles. Wedge has contact pads to support cranks. Support surfaces of cranks have roundings coinciding with working surface of rollers. During shooting load is received by cranks.
EFFECT: higher reliability of wedge gate, reduced bending loads, stresses and deformations in crankshaft pairs of artillery pieces locking mechanism.
