FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding production and can be used in welding of pipeline sections. System comprises external centring mechanism for external support and control of orientation of pipe sections and for alignment of sections relative to each other. System also includes internal welding mechanism for welding seam inside butt joint of two connected butt sections of pipes. Inner welding mechanism includes welding torch for making welded seam, laser to track profile of weld seam, turning head of welding torch and video camera for visual inspection of welding seam after welding.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows improving quality and reliability of welded connections of pipe sections.
