FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to formation and verification of security documents. Method of forming a secure document includes selecting a converter to form a graphic image of a document and a set of parameters, forming a graphic document image thereof using said document and an electronic document, forming an electronic digital signature of an electronic document, forming a machine-readable image containing an electronic document and an electronic digital signature. Method of verifying a secure document includes: reading an electronic document and an electronic digital signature, verifying an electronic digital signature, extracting a converter and a set of parameters from an electronic document, forming a graphic image of the document based thereon. Result is reduction of machine-readable part size, improvement of reliability of verification and counterfeit protection, increase of verification speed.
EFFECT: technical result is broader technical means.
