SUBSTANCE: method includes generating control information in digital form and signing with an electronic signature; the latter is used to form a computer-readable form of the control information which is protected using cryptographic methods; the computer-readable form of the control information is deposited by successively covering the surface of the medium with an element which is connected to the medium, said element having distinct identifiable security features; reading control information from the surface of the medium and said element and converting to digital form, from which the value of the electronic signature of the control information and the control information itself are selected; verifying the electronic signature of the control information.
EFFECT: improved authenticity and integrity of data deposited on a medium.
