SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection against failures of electronic equipment of spacecrafts. For protection against failures and failures of the spacecraft electronic unit, information is collected on the status of channels of the three-channel redundant electronic unit by the spacecraft diagnostic control system, determining maximum possible current which can be consumed by each channel of three-channel redundant electronic unit, as well as permissible number of repeated inclusions of electronic unit, in which it maintains serviceability, setting threshold current value of one channel of electronic unit, measuring current consumption of each channel of electronic unit, disabling channel, current consumption of which exceeds threshold current value.

EFFECT: high resistance to faults and reliability, as well as broader functional capabilities of on-board radioelectronic equipment of a spacecraft.
