FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: brake control unit (1) comprises brake control device (2) with connected braking actuating elements (3) and brake pressure sensor (4) connected to brake actuators (3), and with brake actuating elements (3) with braking preliminary control pressure (Cv1) with pressure converter (5), which is connected to connected brake cylinder. In order to create pneumatic braking device for rail vehicle with direct electropneumatic brake with improved, in particular at fast braking, braking characteristic and high reliability, independent control unit (6) is located parallel to brake control unit (1), which comprises control device (7) with connected control actuators (8), control pre-control pressure sensor (9) connected to control actuators (8). By using control sensor (9) of preliminary control pressure at control actuators (8) outlet control pre-control pressure (Cv2) is controlled, wherein said higher pressure from brake pre-control pressure (Cv1) and control pre-control pressure (Cv2) or, in case of brake control unit (1) error, control pre-control pressure (Cv2) is switched over to brake cylinder. Pressure transducer (17) is connected to pressure converter (5), the output of which is connected to control device (7).

EFFECT: disclosed is a pneumatic braking device for a rail vehicle with a direct electropneumatic brake with a brake control unit.
