Magnet comprises yoke having set of four faces and set of four angles of octagon; first set of four coils, each of which is wound on a set of four faces, respectively; and second set of four coils, each of which is wound respectively on set of four angles of octagon.

EFFECT: possibility of creating a homogeneous dipole magnetic field of a quadrupole focusing field.
