FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides a non-contact power supply system which supplies power from coil (12) for supplying power on the ground side to coil (22) for receiving power on the side of the vehicle, and provides a method of detecting a position of a coil for detecting a position of a coil for receiving power. Excitation voltage and excitation frequency for coil (12) for power supply vary depending on position of coil (22) for receiving power relative to coil (12) for power supply. Then position of coil (22) for receiving power is detected based on received voltage by means of coil (22) for receiving power when coil (12) for power supply is excited.
EFFECT: eliminating the negative effect of magnetic flux generated by the power supply device on the vicinity.
