FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solid-state physics, in particular to quantum electronics and can be used as a matrix for creating media for storing and reading information in quantum computers; invention also relates to nuclear physics, specifically scintillation materials. Substance for quantum electronics based on oxyorthosilicate containing yttrium Y and scandium Sc, and is characterized by chemical formula (Y1-xScx)2SiO5, where x varies from 0.6505 f. units up to 1 f. units, is realized in a monoclinic system with a space group B2/b, Z=8, the gear oxygen coordination of which is completely populated with scandium ions in the entire range of the variable x, and elementary crystal cell volume decreases from 0.779 nm3 to 0.74976 nm3 while increasing content of scandium.
EFFECT: invention enables to create an ordered, low-defect crystalline matrix based on oxyorthosilicate.
