FIELD: metallurgy, crystal.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to scintillation materials, particularly to inorganic crystalline scintillator and can be used in technology of ionise radiation detection for medical diagnostics, nuclear geophysics, nondestructive method. Scintillation substance in the form of crystalline compound on the basis of silicate, containing lutetium, cerium and tin allows composition, which is expressed by chemical formula Ce2XLu2(1-X)Si1-ySny05, Ce2xLu2(1-x-z)Y2zSi1-ySnyO5, where x - from 1·10-4 actual units up to 3·10-2 actual units; y - from 5·10-4 actual units up to 0.5 actual units; z - from 1·10-3 actual units up to 0.5 actual units. New scintillation substances allow high consumer properties, particularly: high density, high light yield, short time of scintillation highlighting, that expands range of its application. Current scintillation single crystal can be used in demodulated devices for registration and particles spectrometry and quantum of high, average and low energies.
EFFECT: sensitiveness increasing of recording system and contrast, high density and, consequently, high absorptive power for ionising emission will provide increasing of position resolution.
