FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for modifying metal/carbon nanostructures, having good compatibility with polymer materials for use in intumescent fire-resistant coatings and other polymer compositions. Metal/carbon nanostructures used are copper/carbon nanocomposite (Cu/C NC) obtained by synthesis in nanoreactors of polymer matrices of polyvinyl alcohol. Modification process consists in combined mechanochemical treatment of Cu/C NC with phosphorus-containing substances, such as ammonium polyphosphate. After mechanical-chemistry stage the produced mixture is dried, followed by additional mechanical grinding in mortar. Copper/carbon nanocomposites modified with phosphorus-containing groups are obtained. Method enables to obtain modified copper/carbon nanocomposites with low consumption of reagents and simple treatment.
EFFECT: obtained NC can be used as additives, which increase magnetic properties of materials, their fire protection and thermal characteristics, as well as stimulate growth of plants.
