FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of abrasive processing and can be used for sharpening jewellery korneisens – a tool for attachment of inserts, i.e. forming a corner in the bead setting. Proposed device comprises housing accommodating two coaxially located cavities for korneisen insertion and means for its sharpening. Latter are represented by a sharpening rod with a cone-shaped tip having an abrasive coating at least within the tip end point. On edges of cavity for korneisen are installed bearings, and inside cavity for rod-sharpening – means for fixation of rod-sharpening in preset position inside cavity. Korneisen is inserted into the cavity with its sharpened end inside with its protruding from the case its unsharpened tip, which is fixed in the additional accessory with provision of stable torque of the korneisen around its axis. Simultaneously pressing is applied on abrasive cone-shaped tip of sharpening rod till grinding is completed.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality of korneisen sharpening.
