FIELD: knife sharpening.
SUBSTANCE: devices for sharpening the cutting edges of hand-held or table knives. The device comprises a base fixed on a stand, on which a swivel carriage is fixed with a frame on which knife clamps are installed, made with the possibility of rotation around a horizontal axis and rigid fixation in a horizontal position, and a hinge assembly for installing an abrasive holder guide into it with the possibility of rotation. The swivel carriage consists of a body and plates with holes. Inside the central hole of the housing there is an axial pusher, spring-loaded by a spring, on the end of which a screw is fixed in the hole, the rod of which is aligned with the central hole of the frame. The head of the screw presses the frame against the end of the pusher. In the base, fixed on the stand, a lever is installed on the axis, combined with the pusher to provide the possibility of longitudinal movement of the pusher.
EFFECT: improving the quality of knife sharpening.
