FIELD: monitoring and measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and measuring equipment, in particular to quality control of extended multicore cables of complex technical systems, including weapons and military equipment systems. Method is based on using a measuring device for measuring resistance of electric circuits and a process wire of the required length, which is connected to the output of a measuring instrument. Cable cable integrity is monitored by connecting all contacts of the remote end of the cable to the process wire and successively checking the integrity of the cable strands over the connector pins at the near end of the monitored cable. Control of absence of short circuits is performed by connection of groups of contacts of connector of near end of cable to process wire and measurement of insulation resistance between each cable and other cores connected through process wire to output of measuring instrument.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of controlling extended multicore cables.
