FIELD: monitoring and measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and measuring equipment, in particular to devices and methods of controlling electric circuits of extended multicore cables used for connection of isolated from each other independent components of complex engineering systems, including systems of weapons and military equipment. Automated control device for extended multi-core cables includes a computer, to which a measuring instrument and a switch with two independent switching fields are connected through an interface bus. Process switch harness is connected to switch channels to connect device to near-end connector of controlled cable. One end of the process wire is connected to the output of the measuring device, the second end of which with the plug-in plug is intended for connection to the connector of the remote end of the monitored cable – to control integrity of the cable cores.

EFFECT: simplified implementation of quality control of multi-core cables of large length, when design implementation (sealing in the ground, in shelters, et cetera) does not allow to combine both ends of cable for its control.
