FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular, to fodder means (feeding substrates) for insect breeding, and can be used in artificial breeding and growing large wax moth larvae. Fodder for growth of wax moth larvae contains beeswax or beeswax honeycombs. Fodder also contains wax raw material - pile caraways and synthetic wax in form of granules or flakes. Fodder is characterized by the following ratio of components, wt. %: synthetic wax - highly purified or purified oil paraffin - 10–60, apiaries with waxiness of not less than 40 % - 20–50, protein additive - pollen in the form of bee pollen or bee pollen - 0–10, beeswax - the rest, but not less than 10 % of total weight of fodder.
EFFECT: invention provides a more accessible and cheap nutritive substrate for mass cultivation of larvae of large wax moth as a protein fodder additive for farm animals, poultry and fish.
