FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing di-N,N'-dioxenides of 2,4,6-trialkylbenzene-1,3-dicarboxylic acids of said general formula, where R = CH3, C2H5, which can be used as low-temperature hardeners of rubber. Method comprises chloromethylating corresponding trialkylbenzenes in an acidic medium using paraform and concentrated hydrochloric acid, reacting the formed bis(chloromethyl)trialkylbenzenes with an alcohol solution of a potassium salt of nitropropane or nitrocyclohexane or oxidation of bis(hydroxymethyl)trialkylbenzenes, prepared by alkaline hydrolysis with chromic anhydride in medium of sulfuric acid with subsequent conversion of diformyl trialkylbenzols by reaction with aqueous solution of hydroxylamine in dialdoxime and extraction of the latter from aqueous suspension. Method is characterized by that trialkylbenzoles dialdoximes are chlorinated with N-chlorosuccinimide in dimethylformamide at temperature of 35–40 °C to bis(hydroxyiminoyl)chlorides of trialkylbenzenes with their subsequent dihydrochlorination with triethylamine without release at temperature 2–5 °C, diluting reaction mass with water and separating dinitrile oxides by filtration and drying at temperature of 40–45 °C.

EFFECT: disclosed method increases output and quality of target nitrile oxides.
