FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mass exchange processes using rectification columns. Essence is a method of increasing separating or carrying capacity separately or simultaneously separating and carrying capacity of rectification column at constant number of plates, geometrical dimensions of column and composition of supply with constant composition of one of key components in distillate or still residue. Method comprises creating computer model of rectification process, for which said initial data are introduced into computer program, calculation of relationships of separating and/or carrying capacity of rectification column from pressure and reflux ratio, further results of simulation are resulted in graphic and/or analytical form, further analyzing calculation data with possibility of determining optimum values of working pressure and reflux ratio in column, which enable to increase separating or carrying capacity separately or simultaneously separating and capacity of column depending on purposes of technological process, further: if it is necessary to increase separating capacity – at constant throughput capacity and reflux ratio, reducing pressure, or at constant throughput capacity, reducing pressure and increasing reflux ratio, or at constant throughput capacity reducing pressure and reflux ratio, when it is necessary to increase throughput capacity with constant composition of separation products simultaneously reduce pressure and reflux ratio, in case of simultaneous increase in separating and transmission capacities at constant reflux ratio, pressure is decreased.

EFFECT: high separating capacity or carrying capacity of the distillation column.
