FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical-pharmaceutical industry, namely to creation of plant-based agent for treatment of oral diseases. Proposed agent for antimicrobial oral diseases treatment contains a combination in equal parts of liquid extracts of pomegranate peel skin, thyme herb, eucalyptus rhizome leaves, extracted by percolation in relation raw material:extractant – 1:5, with duration of extraction 48 hours, for pomegranate peel skin – 70 % ethyl alcohol, thyme herbs – 95 % ethyl alcohol; eucalyptus rhizome leaves – 50 % ethanol. Agent has antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus mutans (St.mutans) and Escherichia coli (E. coli), and can be used in patients with intact teeth, prostheses and implants.
EFFECT: enlarging the range of liquid herbal medicinal herbs with antimicrobial activity; wherein the disclosed agent exhibits more pronounced antimicrobial activity compared to the Rotokan preparation.
