METHOD FOR OBTAINING A PHARMACEUTICAL SUBSTANCE OF PLANT ORIGIN FROM THE LEAVES OF EUCALYPTUS ROD-SHAPED AND A PHARMACEUTICAL SUBSTANCE OBTAINED FROM THE LEAVES OF EUCALYPTUS ROD-SHAPED Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61K36/61 A61K127/00 B01D11/02 A61P31/04

Abstract RU 2786889 C1

FIELD: chemical-pharmaceutical industry.

SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to the chemical-pharmaceutical industry and concerns the preparation of a pharmaceutical substance of plant origin with antibacterial activity. A method for obtaining a pharmaceutical substance of plant origin from the leaves of eucalyptus rod-shaped, which consists in taking raw materials - leaves of eucalyptus rod-shaped and carrying out its preliminary grinding to a particle size of not more than 1 mm, then placing the crushed leaves in a “cartridge” made of porous paper, placing the “cartridge "into the Soxhlet extractor in such a way that the "cartridge" freely enters the extractor and is washed by the extractant and its vapors, pour n-hexane as an extractant into the extraction flask in the ratio: crushed eucalyptus leaves: n-hexane = 1:50, the Soxhlet extractor is installed on the extraction flask, a reflux condenser is fixed on top of the Soxhlet extractor, the raw material of eucalyptus rod-shaped leaves is extracted by recirculating the extractant n-hexane at the boiling point of n-hexane for 3 hours, an extract of eucalyptus rod-shaped leaves is obtained, the extract is evaporated under vacuum at a temperature boiling n-hexane to a thick state of "tar"; further, the distillation residue is processed, for which 95% ethyl alcohol is added to the distillation residue, an alcohol concentrate of the target product is obtained, then the alcohol concentrate is evaporated under vacuum until the organic phase is completely removed, a thick extract is obtained, then the thick extract is vacuum dried to obtain the target product, the target product is controlled for compliance with quality standards; the extractant n-hexane is regenerated and used for the extraction of a new batch of raw materials - eucalyptus rod leaves. Pharmaceutical substance of plant origin from the leaves of eucalyptus rod, obtained by the above method, consisting of at least 45% of the total terpenoid phenolaldehydes in terms of eucalimine and active against the test culture S. aureus ATCC 29213 at a concentration not exceeding 7.97 μg/ml.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the manufacturability of the method by reducing the number of operations; reduce the time for obtaining the claimed pharmaceutical substance; increase the environmental friendliness of production; increase the quantitative content of the amount of phenolaldehydes in terms of eucalimine,%; the substance obtained by the above method has a high level of antibacterial activity against methicillin-sensitive strains of Staphylococcus aureus (methicillin-sensitive S. aureus) and methicillin-resistant strains (methicillin-resistant S. aureus).
