SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrochemistry, namely to the design of structural elements of hydrogen pumps and fuel elements, specifically to the device of hydrogen electrodes. Method involves fixing a palladium membrane with thickness of 1–30 mcm, coated on both sides with a layer of fine palladium black, on a porous metal nickel base by contact spot welding, on both sides coated with a layer of nanosized palladium crystallites in the form of five-pointed stars.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to manufacture hydrogen electrode with reduced content of precious palladium and with more stable in time electric characteristics, in particular specific power.
