FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of heat engineering, in particular to non-traditional converters of heat energy into mechanical work, and can be used in drives of electric units, tubing and other equipment of industrial, agricultural and other purposes. Thermal solid-state engine includes zones of heating and cooling, shaft installed in bearings, heat-sensitive elements (HSE), contacting with them support flange, connected through bearing with inclined flange of shaft, as well as a slide valve connected to the shaft, which controls the heating and cooling heat carriers flows coming to the HSE. Engine is equipped with HSE, consisting of bimetallic sections and located in cylindrical sockets of housing unit, connected to slide valve channels. Hot heat carrier circuit is connected only with one or two HSE for their final heating, and the rest HSE are connected by means of the slide valve channels to the heat energy recovery circuit, providing heat exchange between cooled before heated HSE and pre-heated HSE.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides higher efficiency, reduced weight and overall dimensions of the engine.
