FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument-making in the field of flow measurement by electromagnetic method, and can be used for measurement of flow of electroconductive liquids at high pressures and increased abrasive ability of liquid, for example, for backfilling in well construction, for pumping cement slurry at pressure of up to 700 atmospheres. Electromagnetic flow meter consists of non-magnetic metal housing, to which, by means of conical thread, transition elements are connected, magnetic system placed above housing, measuring electrodes, lining made in the form of a pipe reinforced with a perforated metal sheet, which is retained in the body by centring rings made threaded. Measuring electrodes are located diametrically opposite in the case cross-section and have the form of longitudinal plates. Housing is made cylindrical, transition elements are equipped with quick-detachable connections. Lining is made from insulating polymer material.
EFFECT: reduced metal consumption of an electromagnetic flowmeter operating at high pressure and at high flow rates of an abrasive liquid; besides, it is possible to use quick-disconnect connections for installation of a flow meter in a line.
