SUBSTANCE: steam ironing device containing iron (1), having sole (2), above which there is housing (4), equipped with heating element (3), wherein on said sole there is zone (21) of material wetting with steam outlet holes (20) and zone (22) of drying of material without steam outlets, wherein heating element (3) is located in first part (4A) of housing (4), passing only above drying zone (22), and supply of steam to steam outlet holes (20) is carried out from distributing chamber (47) located above zone (21) of dampening, characterized in that distributing chamber (47), at least partially is made in second part (4B) of housing (4), not containing heating element and separated from first part (4A) of housing by separation zone (7), providing heat insulation of first part (4A) from second part (4B), wherein housing (4) is equipped with at least one connecting section (71, 72) passing through separation zone (7) and providing local connection of first part (4A) and second part (4B).

EFFECT: such ironing apparatus has the advantage of having a soleplate provided with a steam emission zone, unheated, ensuring a very good wetting of the laundry.
