SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control systems of technological processes, including valves, and, in particular, to methods of valves control. Invention includes method, device and computer-readable carrier for valve control. Embodiments of the invention use a soft-closing threshold and a soft-closing procedure, during which the controller performs monotonic linear variation of the servo drive setting in order to slowly overload the servo drive outside the calibrated settings range, where the servo drive switches to the hard closing step when the servo drive threshold reaches a predetermined overexcitation threshold.
EFFECT: as a result, when controlling the valve, sensitivity to motion calibration errors, valve seizure or clamping, vibration during operation of the process controller near the hard stop is eliminated.
