FIELD: lighting engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting engineering, namely to connecting devices for outdoor lighting fixtures, and can be used for quick mounting and dismantling of fixtures to brackets and simultaneous connection and disconnection to electrical part of lighting network. Docking system consists of receiving (1) and mating (2) parts. Receiving part (1) is made in the form of hollow cylindrical part with stepped increase of external diameter in its end zone and with projecting ribs-braces (3) on outer surface of part with smaller diameter, size of which taking into account protruding ribs-braces (3) corresponds to inner diameter of tube (4) of lighting fixture bracket (14). Inner cavity of receiving part (1) on the side of the end face with a large diameter in cross section has the shape of a circle smoothly changing into the segment shape. Mating part (2) is of cylindrical shape smoothly changing into mold corresponding to inner contour of receiving part (1), and has nose part (5) skewed forward to front end. Inside receiving (1) and mating (2) parts there are recesses for contacts (6), (7) and channels (8), (9) for conducting conductors from electric contacts. To fix receiving (1) and mating (2) parts between each other in the connected position and to protect them from spontaneous disconnection, the device has spring-loaded latch (12).
EFFECT: increased mechanical strength at transverse load, reduced time and labor costs for installation and dismantling of external lighting fixtures and simultaneous mounting / dismantling of connection / disconnection of lighting fixture to electric part of lighting network without its de-energizing.
