FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery and endocrinology, and concerns treating trophic ulcers of lower extremities accompanying diabetic foot syndrome. That is ensured by applying a thrombocyte concentrate on wound for 5–7 procedures every 3 days. To obtain a platelet concentrate, blood is sampled from the peripheral vein in amount of 15–20 ml, followed by centrifugation in three stages. At the first stage centrifugation is performed during 5 minutes per 1,000 rpm. At the second stage, the upper thrombocyte-poor plasma layer is removed and Ringer's solution is added to the remaining plasma at ratio of 2:1 and centrifugation is performed for 3 minutes at 2,700 rpm. At the third stage, the upper plasma layer is removed again and insulin is added to the thrombocyte-rich plasma up to 2–3 ml, re-centrifuged for 5 minutes at 1,000 rpm.
EFFECT: method provides effective epithelialization of wounds due to high level of thrombocytes, growth factors and insulin in thrombocyte concentrate.
