FIELD: nuclear energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering, in particular to methods of spent nuclear fuel management. Method of unloading and dehydration of cases with defective spent fuel assemblies (SFA) from storage of floating technical base, at which protective plugs are removed in turn from loading holes of rotary plate. Turning the plate, the open loading hole is successively aligned with the case. Cases are installed in the pipe plate of the tank through the through bushings. Flanges of bushings are fixed by welding to tube plate and cases. In the loading aperture of the removable row of cases with defective fuel assemblies, a device for cutting and drying of cases is installed. Case is grasped by the outer edge of the holder of the case. Annular groove is cut around the case by the whole thickness of the tube plate. Hole is pierced around the bottom of the case. Case is dried. Dealing with defective SFA through loading opening without dismantling technical device for cutting and drying of holders. Deactivation and drying of cases are controlled by means of remote video monitoring.
EFFECT: invention increases processibility of the process by reducing the number of operations for re-installation of process equipment for dismounting of cases with defective SFA.
