FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection systems of water bodies against underwater saboteurs and other underwater objects. Disclosed is a method for active protection of a water area by impact-wave action on an underwater object, involving electrodynamic initiation by a radiator of a shock-wave compression pulse of a pulsed beam emitted towards an underwater object, focused by the peripheral and central components of the radiator to form a dynamic audio channel, wherein the compression pulse from the central component is initiated later than the compression pulse from the peripheral component, and the shift between initiation start times from the components is greater than the compression pulse front duration from the peripheral component, wherein wave length from peripheral compression pulse is greater than wave length from central compression pulse. Besides, a device for implementation of the above method is presented.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of impact-wave action on underwater objects with simultaneous increase in range of action.
