FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of high-temperature superconductors of second generation (HTSC-tapes). Apparatus for tinning contains a high-temperature superconducting tape feed unit, a tinning unit, a tinned high-temperature superconductor tape receiving unit and a control unit. Tinning unit includes flux feeder, bath for tinning and cooling system installed behind bath for tinning. Tinning bath is made in the form of metal chute with possibility of molten solder in it and its maintenance in molten state. At least two blocks made of heat-resistant polymer with antiadhesion properties are secured at each end of the chute and arranged one above the other to form plugs to prevent solder flow from each side of the chute. Neighbouring units are arranged to receive an adjustable clearance between them for HTSC belt pulling in horizontal direction, provided with limiters of their movement in the chute and fixed by means of pressure plate with adjusting bolts.
EFFECT: organization of HTSC tape drawing in strictly horizontal direction and uniformity of tinning allows improving quality of tin-plated wire, and also ensuring absence of chips and other damages of functional layers of high-temperature superconducting tape.
