SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication. To achieve technical result, communication system includes at least one upper radio station (1) and relay station (2). Station (2) performs radio relay between the lower radio station (3) and the upper radio station (1). Station (2) is configured to be unsuccessful when connecting to a first upper radio station included in connection configuration information indicating an upper radio station to which station (2) is to be connected, connect to second upper radio station, different from first upper radio station, and notify network (4 and 5) on notification information through second upper radio station, wherein the notification information indicates that connection to the first upper radio station is unsuccessful.

EFFECT: easy configuration of connection configuration information in a system in which a relay station (RN node) is connected to a donor base station (DeNB node) based on connection configuration information.
