SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a communication device and a communication robot. Technical result is achieved by a communication device, comprising an expression collection unit configured to collect a user's expression to a character; an information collection unit configured to collect information different from the expression; a voice generation unit configured to generate a voice response; and a face expression generating unit configured to generate a face expression in response to be expressed by the face region of the character based on the content of the expression collected by the expression collection assembly, in which when information is collected from an information collection unit, the expression generating unit generates a face expression in response using information together with the content of the expression, wherein the facial expression in response generated when the information is collected differs from the facial expression in response generated when the information is not collected.
EFFECT: creation of a communication device which enables the character to display different facial expressions depending on the situation even for the same dialogue.
